Who sells

What Spark is

Spark is a closed website with courses on artificial intelligence. Each course is a series of videos with exercises beside them. You write an answer to an exercise and get short feedback.

The videos are streamed and cannot be downloaded. You need an internet-connected computer or phone with a recent browser. In most exercises you use an AI tool such as ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini yourself; access to those is not included and may cost extra from whoever provides the tool.

Two kinds of buyer

Companies buy access for their staff under an offer. Individuals buy access for themselves on a course's sale page. The common terms here apply to both, with a section for each. Nothing in these terms limits rights consumers have by law.

Seats and access

A company gets access to a named course for the agreed number of seats for the agreed period. One seat is for one person and may not be shared. A pending invite counts as a seat; removing a person frees the seat immediately. Access ends on the agreed date and does not renew by itself. Disputes under contracts with companies may be brought before Reykjanes District Court.

Payment

Companies pay by invoice by the due date stated on it. Prices in offers are stated with or without VAT as the offer says.

What you buy

Access to one course for yourself for 12 months from when access opens. Access then ends and does not renew by itself. The course's sale page states what it contains, how many parts and exercises it has and how long it is. Access is personal and may not be shared.

Buyers must be 18 or older.

How the purchase works

1. On the course's sale page you enter your name and email and click “Ask for access”. You can correct what you typed before sending. The request does not bind you.

2. We immediately confirm that the request arrived, and within one working day send an invoice and a sign-in link.

3. The purchase is made when you pay the invoice, by bank transfer by the due date on it, 14 days after issue. The contract is in Icelandic. We keep the request and the invoice and email you a copy of both; the terms are always on this page.

When card payment is added to the website, the accepted payment methods are shown before you order, and the order button says plainly that ordering creates an obligation to pay.

Price and payment

The price is the one on the sale page, VAT included, paid once. The seller adds no other costs.

Delivery and confirmation

You get a sign-in link at the email address you gave; no password. Access opens when you use the link. With the invoice we email you information about your right of withdrawal and a link to these terms.

Right of withdrawal

You have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period expires 14 days after the day the contract was concluded.

To exercise it, you must inform Neðri Hóll Hugmyndahús ehf., Álfhólsvegur 97, 200 Kópavogur, Iceland, hallo@sparkwithai.app, of your decision by an unequivocal statement, for example a letter or email. You may use the model form below, but it is not obligatory. To meet the deadline it is enough to send your notice before the period expires.

If you withdraw, we reimburse all payments received from you without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive your notice, using the same means of payment you used unless you expressly agree otherwise. You incur no fees for the reimbursement.

Even after you start

You can withdraw within 14 days and get a full refund, even if you have started the course. Withdrawing costs you nothing.

If something is wrong

Contact us at hallo@sparkwithai.app if a course does not work as described. We reply within five working days. If the course is faulty you may claim a remedy, price reduction, cancellation or damages under general rules. If a course is unavailable for more than two working days through our fault we extend your access by the same time; this does not limit other remedies you have by law.

If we reject your claim in whole or in part we tell you without delay and in writing where you can turn.

Resolving disputes

If we cannot agree, you can turn to the Icelandic Complaints Committee on the Purchase of Goods and Services (Kærunefnd vöru- og þjónustukaupa), Borgartún 29, 105 Reykjavík, island.is/v/kaerunefnd-voru-og-thjonustukaupa. The committee is independent and rules on disputes between consumers and sellers.

As Icelandic law requires, we also point to the European Union's platform for resolving disputes about online purchases, ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, although the Commission has closed it. Our email address for it is hallo@sparkwithai.app.

The material

The courses are ours. You may use what you learn in your work and life, but not copy the material, republish it, or use its videos, exercises or text to teach others. What you write yourself in exercises is yours.

AI in Spark

Feedback on answers comes from a language model and can be inaccurate. It is a teaching tool, not an assessment of you or your work. Do not put other people's personal data or confidential material into exercise answers. Descriptions and pictures on sale pages are made with AI and reviewed by us, and we answer for them.

Closing access

We may close access that is misused, for example shared with others, and will not do so without telling you first and giving you a chance to put it right. After access ends, data is deleted as described in the privacy policy.

Changes to these terms

A purchase is governed by the terms in force when it was made. Changes do not apply to purchases already made unless you agree to them.

Language and storage

These terms are in Icelandic and English; if they differ, the Icelandic version prevails. They are always available on this page.

Law and venue

Icelandic law applies, without limiting the protection given to you by the mandatory rules of your country of residence in the European Economic Area. A consumer may bring proceedings where they are domiciled and may only be sued there.
