What is Spark?
Spark is a platform for AI courses in Icelandic. Next to the video is an exercise panel that follows the timeline, so you practise while you watch. Individuals buy ready-made courses on each course's page, and companies can also have courses produced from their own work.
Are the teachers real people?
No. The voices that teach the courses are made with AI, and so is the feedback on the exercises. We check every script and every exercise before a course goes live.
How are the courses tailored to the company?
We start with a conversation about the tasks your staff sit with every day. From those we write the exercises and record the videos, so the examples come from your operation rather than from generic teaching material.
Do I need to know anything beforehand?
No. The courses assume people are starting out. Every step is shown on screen and the same step waits in the exercise panel ready to use.
How long does it take to get through?
Parts are short, usually a few minutes each, and each course's page says how many there are and how long the course is in all. Most people take one or two parts at a time and finish over a few days or weeks.
What language are the courses in?
The videos are in Icelandic. English subtitles are not available yet. The interface itself is in both Icelandic and English.
Can managers see what people wrote in the exercises?
No. The owner sees the status, meaning who has watched and who has passed, but not the text people submitted.
What does Spark cost?
The ready courses have a fixed price per person, shown on each course's page. The price of a course we produce for a company depends on the number of seats and its scope. Get in touch and we will send an offer.
How do I pay?
On the course's page you pay with a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay on Teya's secure payment page. The price includes VAT and is paid once. You get access at once, for 12 months, and a confirmation by email.
Can my employer or school pay?
Yes. When you pay you can enter the name and ID number of a company or school, and the invoice is then made out to it so the VAT can be reclaimed. For a group, or to pay by invoice, write to us and we will send an offer.
Can I get a refund?
Yes, within 14 days of buying, even if you have started the course. Write to us, or use the form in the terms and in your receipt.
May I use the material in my own teaching?
Yes. You may use a course's exercises, prompts and toolkit with your own students and adapt them to your teaching. The videos are for the person who bought access and may not be shown to others or distributed.
How do I sign in?
After buying you get an invitation by email. Open the link and enter your name; your access is then open. After that you ask for a sign-in link with your email address and get it by email; no password. If the invitation goes missing, asking to sign in sends it again.
